ABOUT

Launched in 2006, Flowers over Frederick unites citizens, organizations and business owners to help beautify Downtown Frederick. Community support funds all of the costs associated with the summer and winter baskets including purchasing baskets, brackets, plants and holiday decorations. The project is managed by the volunteer members of the Flowers Over Frederick committee.

Beginning with 25 baskets in 2006, the project now includes more than 70 hanging baskets located throughout Downtown Frederick. Basket locations are coordinated with the City. Plant care is contracted to Ruppert Landscape. Administrative support is provided by Downtown Frederick Partnership. The Community Foundation of Frederick County is the fiscal agent for the project and receives all tax-deductible donations to support Flowers over Frederick.
